Ever wondered what FCCLA stands for?
FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. It is a dynamic student-led organization in which the family is the central focus. FCCLA gives students many service and leadership opportunities through the many conferences and programs that it offers its members. Students gain confidence through involvement in STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events and Skill Demonstration Events. Members learn skills for life through Family and Consumer Science classes like Food & Nutrition, Child Development, and Adult Roles & Responsibilities. Opportunities for travel are abundant, and they only increase as students become more involved. FCCLA is truly the ultimate leadership experience, and any member is offered the chance to run for state or national office. NS FCCLA has had two state officers already, and we can't wait to see what the future holds!
