VP of National Programs
Responsibilities
- Educates officers and members about FCCLA's national programs: Community Service, Families First, FACTS, Student Body, Financial Fitness, Career Connection, Leadership Service in Action, Power of One, Step One, and STOP the Violence.
- After the officers have chosen the national program, this person will organize the national programs in which our chapter will participate.
- Responsible to fill out paperwork for the national program and sees that it is sent in to State and Nationals.
- Heads National Programs committee.
VP of Membership
Responsibilities
- Implements the national membership campaign, iRecruit, which focuses on recruiting, retaining, and recognizing members and submits our involvement to Nationals online.
- Plans and organizes our monthly membership activities focusing on leadership, unity, and fun!
- Responsible to head up the membership drive and see that all tasks are completed.
- Makes and maintains a list of current members' names and phone numbers.
- Responsible to provide a phone tree list and email addresses.
- Keeps a record of all discussions at officer meetings and chapter activities.
- Makes a calendar of members' birthdays and sees that they are recognized.
- Keeps a current record of all that our chapter is doing throughout the year.
Julianna Armstrong
Vice President of STAR events
Responsibilities
- Conducts and takes over in the president's absence.
- Responsible to read and learn about all of the STAR Events.
- Responsible to hold a STAR Event orientation for chapter members.
- Makes copies of each event and keeps it on file.
- Speaks individually with each chapter member to help him or her find a STAR Event in which they could succeed.
- Motivates and encourages members to be involved in STAR Events.
- Makes and maintains a list of participants and their STAR Events/categories.
- Helps advisers fill out paperwork for Region and State competitions.
- Helps organize STAR Event help nights and chapter competition.
- Makes favors for members who compete at Region and State.
- Takes care of Four Star Chapter award paperwork.
Utah FCCLA VP of Public Relations
Responsibilities
- Heads up Preference Dance committee.
- Maintains constant contact with all members of FCCLA and keeps them informed of what is going on (phone tree, email, web page, flyers, newsletter, social media, mass text, etc.).
- Makes a monthly newsletter/calendar of events--including writing articles and organizing info from other officers--and distributes to members. All information must be pre-approved by advisers.
- Makes any special invitations for activities.
- Contacts media with newsworthy events conducted by our chapter.
- Writes and sends articles to the state VP of Public Relations on our chapter activities.
- Sends at least one article to Teen Times to inform Nationals of our activities.
- Maintains weekly contact with advisers (in addition to officer meetings) in case of changes or additions to the calendar or activities.
